To make it easy for researchers who are finding it difficult to keep up with the information onslaught, we are planning to bring out a series of review books in all areas of Science, Technology, Management, Arts and Medicine. Towards this endeavour, we invite your participation as an Editor of a Review Book, or a Monograph or an Online Book either alone or with colleagues as co-editors and/or co-authors in any aspect or topic of your choice. You have the full freedom to decide on the topic, co-authors, participants and even the time-frame of the book. This means that you will be Chief Editor and the guiding, editing and stewardship of the entire volume will be in your hands. You may-if you so wish-invite a very senior scientist from your own department or outside, to act as your Editorial Consultant to guide and help you.

Guidelines for Editing a Book:

1. You and your team are free to select the AREA, TOPICS and TITLE of the book.


2. You and your team may contact different contributing scientists-OR- if you provide us with a list of scientists and their addresses with e-mail IDs, we will mail to them invitations for contributions on your behalf.


3. They could be exclusively from your lab, country or anywhere in the world.


4. The articles in the final form should be mailed to us.


5. There should be a minimum of 6 articles or 80-100 pages. There is no limit to the maximum number of articles or pages.


6. There has to be a time limit i.e. the articles should be ready by say 8-10 months or a specific month/cut-off date YOU deem fit.


7. We will send you 8 free copies of the book.


8. We will mail books free of cost to 3 people or institutions of your choice at the addresses provided by you.


9. We will send to all major laboratories of the world, the name of the book, the editor, titles of articles with the authors & addresses through our formal individual Global Title Mailing Program.


10. The title of the book, the name of the Consultant Editor, names of Editors(s), and titles of articles with the names of authors will be hosted in our website- www.ressign.com.


11. We will mail the Table of Contents and titles of the book to individual scientists and researchers through our electronic web brochure. Over 3000 individual e-mail alerts will be sent to researchers interested in this work.


12. CHARGES: There will be no page charges for the manuscripts to be published. But the economic viability in the initial stages will be maintained by the editor/authors or by their institutions. This is by our requesting ONE of the authors of EACH article/chapter to purchase 100 reprints. The costs of reprints are given at: www.ressign.com/ROF.pdf. The paying author will be sent 100 reprints and 3 hard-bound books by registered air-mail. The authors will be benefited by:

13. The length of the review article may be limited to 20-25 A4 size pages (20cms. width x 26cms. height), 1.5 line spacing, in 12 point size Times New Roman font, though this is not binding.

You are invited to start a NEW OPEN ACCESS JOURNAL in your area of interest. The periodicity may be any-monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly. All you need to do is to Propose us a title (one or two titles), request 7-8 colleagues as the Editors to begin with. We-and if you like you and colleagues- will INVITE authors to participate in the journal. The copyright of the publication will vest with the authors and the journal articles will be submitted to Open Digital Repositories. Further details will be sent to you once you let us know your interest.

• The copyright of the publication will vest with the authors.
  
  
• The journal articles will be submitted to Open Digital Repositories.
  
  
• The Username and Password will be given to the Editor, so that the Editor can have complete control of his/her journal area. The table of contents, abstract and the full article will be uploaded.
  
  
• Fees for Signpost Open Access Journal:
  
  • Starting a new independent journal, or transferring an existing journal is free of charge.
    
  • There are no subscription charges for users.
    
    
  • Research Signpost offers the lowest article processing fees as compared to those of other open access journal publishers.
Journals may opt to subsidize article-processing charges by obtaining and using grants from institutions, industry or charitable organizations.


• PUBLICATION FEES: An article-processing fee payable by the author/ author's institution applies for every accepted article, to cover the costs incurred by open access publication.
  
  
• Members of Signpost Open Access are entitled to discounted article - processing fees.
  
  
• The publication fee details for each article published in the journal are given below:
  
  • Letters: The publication fee for each published Letter article submitted is US $300.
  
  
  • Research Articles: The publication fee for each published Research article is US $400.
  
  
  • Mini-Review Articles: The publication fee for each published Mini-Review article is US $300.
  
  
  • Review Articles: The publication fee for each published Review article is US $450.
  
  
  • Book Reviews: The open access fee for a published book review is US $250.
  
  
• Supplements/Single Topic Issues:
  The journal you propose to edit can also consider Supplements/Single topic issues for publication. A Supplements/Single topic will be a collection of articles (minimum of 6, maximum of 20 articles) based on a contemporary theme or topic of great importance to the field. Mini-supplements consisting of between 3 to 5 articles are also welcome. A Supplement can consist of either all review articles or a mixture of review and research articles. The Guest Editors' main editorial task is to invite the contributors to the Supplement and to manage the peer review of submitted manuscripts. A short summary or proposal for editing a supplement should be submitted to: admin@rsflash.com and ggcom@vsnl.com.
  
  
• Manuscript Length:
  
  • Letters: The maximum total page length for Letter type articles published in the journal is nine journal pages. Each journal page is on average 900 words.
  
  
  • Research Articles: The minimum total page length for Research articles is ten journal pages, and the maximum thirty pages. Each journal page is on average 900 words.
  
  
  • Review Articles: The maximum page length limit for comprehensive Review articles is forty pages. For Mini-Review articles, the maximum page length is nine journal pages. Each journal page is on average 900 words.
  
  
  • Types of Manuscripts Published: The Journal accepts letters/short communications, original research articles, and mini- and full-length review articles written in English. Supplements, proceedings of conferences and book reviews may also be considered for publication.
